COLOMBO: The Sri Lankan police on Tuesday stated it has questioned former nationwide choice committee chairman Aravinda de Silva over ex-Sports activities Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage‘s allegation that the nationwide cricket workforce’s loss to India within the 2011 World Cup closing was mounted by “sure events”.
Aluthgamage has alleged that his nation “bought” the sport to India, a declare that was ridiculed by former captains Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene who demanded proof from him.
De Silva, the then chairman of selectors, was quizzed for over six hours by the police.
